Bankruptcy possible for Teresa Giudice, housewives star

Teresa Giudice, from “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” and her husband are going bankrupt. The Teresa Giudice auction is slated for Aug. 22. Teresa Giudice and her husband owe $ 11 million which is why their belongings will be sold.

Auctioning Teresa Giudice’s stuff for money to pay debt

Teresa Giudice filed for bankruptcy in October. With over $ 11 million in debts, the couple was unable to keep up with their bills. The debt can be paid off with this auction which was arranged by the court and trustee. The Teresa Giudice auction is scheduled for August 22, though the Giudice’s lawyer is fighting the auction.

Teresa Giudice debts to be paid

The “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star has managed to rack up significant debts in the last few years. Between her and her husband, they claim an income of $ 79,000 a year. $ 3,333 is made each month by Teresa Giudice working for Bravo TV. Her husband claims $ 3,250 per month in income from his stucco and stone company. With this income, the couple has a $ 1.8 million mansion in Towaco, N.J. The couple is also facing foreclosure on two other homes — one in Lincoln Park and an additional on the Jersey Shore. They owe $ 12,000 to a fertility clinic and more than $ 5 million to former real-estate partners. Teresa Giudice says that no more than $ 400 a month has been spent on clothes although she’s been seen spending $ 2,000 in just ten minutes.

What can be sold at the Teresa Giudice auction

The Teresa Giudice auction, assuming courts do not block the sale, will start at noon within the Towaco home. Examples of items include flat-screen TVs, a pool table, sofas and even chandeliers. The attention that Teresa Giudice has received because of this auction may well drive prices on the items up past their value. Teresa Giudice won’t see any of that money so it doesn’t matter to them, and maybe they will do better within the future.
